Since its inception, el ANDAR has promoted literature and the arts through literary events, writing workshops, and contests. One year after becoming a national title, el ANDAR announces the first el ANDAR Prize for Literary Excellence and takes its commitment to the arts to a national arena.

Writers can submit works in either Spanish or English or a mix of both languages. Our goal is to inspire young people and adults to write and to help build a more beautiful and intelligent society by writing about Latino life and experiences in the United States.
